Two of his plays have been staged:\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.philipwattcasting.com\/chettys-lullaby\" title=\"\">Chetty\u2019s Lullaby<\/a><\/em>, about trumpeter Chet Baker, in San Francisco in 2014, and\u00a0<em>Deaf Empire<\/em>, about composer Bed\u0159ich Smetana, by Prague Shakespeare Company in 2017. His translations from Czech include V\u00edt\u011bzslav Nezval\u2019s\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.twistedspoon.com\/absolute-gravedigger.html\" title=\"\">The Absolute Gravedigger<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(Twisted Spoon, 2016: recipient of the PEN \/ Heim Translation Grant) and\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/twistedspoon.com\/woman-in-plural.html\" title=\"\">Woman in the Plural<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(Twisted Spoon, 2021); and\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/the-visible-spectrum.com\/006\"><em>Paris Notebook<\/em><\/a><\/em>\u00a0by poet Tereza Riedlbauchov\u00e1\u00a0(Verse Chorus Press, 2020).\u00a0His scholarly study,\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/book\/10.1007\/978-3-030-77352-6\" title=\"\">The New American Poetry and Cold War Nationalism<\/a><\/em>, was published by Palgrave in 2021. He is a founding editor of\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/bodyliterature.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">B O D Y<\/a><\/em>.
